There isn't a more family friendly destination in all of the world. Branson, MO is your source for the best G rated shows in the country, and perhaps the entire world. I live near Branson, and have been there countless times, and I have been racking my brain trying to think of a Branson show that isn't appropriate for all ages, and I just can't find one. No cursing, no toilet humor, just feel good shows that give you knee slapping humor with a healthy dose of musical bliss. While nearly all of the shows in Branson are appropriate for all ages, here are just a few of the most family friendly shows in the city!

The Haygoods

Branson isn't just a great place for families to see shows, it's an amazing place for them to perform in them. The Haygoods show stars the Haygood siblings, ranging in age from 26 to 10 in an amazing show of musical prowess. Between the eight siblings they play more than 20 instruments and have mastered the art of a capella singing. Their show combines singing, dancing, pyrotechnics, acrobatics, and more than a pinch of humor. Entertaining for adults and children alike, The Haygoods is one of the most popular shows in Branson for a very good reason.

SIX

This show contains the musical skills of six real life brothers. Performing everything from traditional ballads, to Broadway hits, to heart wrenching a capella solos, this show is a wonderfully enticing mix of musical genres. Just when you think this might be a little over the head of your six year old, I'll let you in on a little secret. SIX requires absolutely no band or instruments. "Why?" you may ask. Well, because they make all of the instrumental sounds with their mouths. That's right, they make funny noises with their teeth, tongue, and lips. What kid doesn't love to make strange noises and hear others do the same! So, all in all, this show provides truly excellent music for the parents and a healthy dose of humor and laughter for younger kids.

Circle B. Chuck Wagon and Cowboy Show

What young boy, or girl, doesn't love cowboys? What parent hasn't seen, and enjoyed, a few Western movies in their day? Well, this show combines the two in an electric mix of old fashioned and modern entertainment. You will be transported into an Old Western town where you can laugh at the antics of the somewhat addled townspeople while munching on free popcorn. Yup, you will have popcorn to feed your kids, so there won't be any complaining from that direction! Before the show you will be treated to a belly filling dinner of cowboy favorites. Roast beef, baked beans, biscuits, applesauce, and more are all on the menu!

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede

This show will literally awe your little ones, leaving them with mouths wide open and eyes fixed in delight. Here you will be able to see prancing horses, racing ostriches, and so much more while enjoying a delicious four course meal. While children may enjoy all of the animals and old fashioned costumes, parents will be drawn into the hilarious plot that puts a spin on the traditional North versus South tale. With a preshow and a gift shop, this well rounded show will appeal to every member of your family!

There are dozens and dozens of shows in Branson, MO. Nearly all of them are family oriented, but these are the best of the best. If you are thinking of taking a family vacation and just aren't sure where to go, eschew huge crowds and boring amusement parks for the hilarious fun and joy that is Branson, Missouri.

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show - Branson, MO
Dinner: Was o.k. A little too much food. Don't think the small slice of pork was necessary. Did not like the soup, ugh!! But the eating with hands was great! Something you normally don't get to do. Show: Was pretty good, but found it difficult to watch while the waiters were bringing food. Overall I would grade it a Bt.
