Treat your family to an afternoon of adventure when you explore the Cosmic Cavern on your next trip to the Branson area, with a beautiful 1/3 mile walk down into the mouth of this famous cave.
Cosmic Cavern is a natural wonder hidden deep in the Ozarks, not far from Berryville, Arkansas, and it's just a short drive from Branson. You'll descend 55 stairs down to the depths of the cave. On a tour of the caverns, you will marvel at the sight of two bottomless lakes. Living in the lakes are colorless trout who have gone blind from years without sunlight. You will also see one of the longest soda straw formations in the Ozarks, measuring over nine feet long.
The temperature in the cave is a cool 64 degrees year-round, making it a nice place to visit no matter what time of year. On the tour, you will be led by an expert tour guide who will point out various rock formations and interesting facts along the way. The caverns are home to a variety of gems, including amethyst, copper, garnet, apache tear, and many more. For a small additional charge, you can try your hand at gemstone panning and can keep any gemstones you find as mementos of your fun day. The entire family will love a visit to Cosmic Cavern on your next trip to Branson.
