Smoke on the Mountain takes you on a journey back in time to the 1930’s for a re-enactment of that first Saturday night sing held at the Mount Pleasant Church in North Carolina.
The Sanders Family will have you singing along and laughing at their antics as you imagine yourself as part of the congregation. As the group performs traditional bluegrass tunes, Pastor Ogelthorpe comments on the events and the members of the choir share their beliefs and some comical stories.
As part of the congregation, you’ll be hearing around 30 gospel songs that bring us back to a simpler time. You will find yourself singing along, laughing at the antics and quirks of each member, and see for yourself just how it is to be a family. The talented singers perform classic gospel tunes including Power in the Blood, I’ll Fly Away, and Wonderful Time Up There. As they serenade the audience with their incredible singing, they draw you in to be a part of this entertaining family.
