Huge crowds flock to the Clay Cooper Theater in Branson, Missouri, to see the Jim Owen Show. Owen, a singer, songwriter, actor, comedian and producer, has been called the "best pure entertainer in the business" and was named, in both 1985 and 1987, "Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year." He actually had one of the longest "runs" at the same theater in Las Vegas history and has also performed on a number of world tours. He has portrayed Hank Williams Sr. on television and his PBS special entitled "Hank" earned the title "Public Television's Best Show of the Year" in 1977. His show is a mix of music and comedy, with Jim performing some of his own classic country hits, such as "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man", which he wrote for Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, as well as hits by Hank Williams and Johnny Cash.

The Jim Owen Show is a must see in Branson. He is A very talented singer and entertainer. He sings country like country should be. Wouldn't think of coming to Branson without seeing this show. One of the best.
