Branson Belle History
Before the turn of the century, before the invention of the motion picture, before the invention of the television, many people found their entertainment aboard the many showboats that paddled across America's waterways. Folks in rural towns that were near a river eagerly awaited the moment when the showboat would arrive. Each person looked forward to the sites and sounds aboard a ship that would not be seen anywhere else.
The Showboat Branson Belle continues the tradition with top flight family-oriented entertainment. It is the largest paddlewheel steamboat in the United States on a landlocked lake. The Showboat looks as historically accurate as possible so as to create the illusion that you have stepped back in time. At 265-foot long, it is larger than the 1880's showboats that once plied North American rivers.
