Branson performers are working to make Branson bigger and better all the time with touring performances and the ABA convention in Nashville. For the past two years Branson performers have attended the ABA meetings, seminars, and networking groups at the ABA Marketplace for the travel and tourism industry. This year the Marketplace was held in the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. from February 3-8.
As featured entertainment to this large networking group, several Branson performers graced the stage with winning shows. Pam Tillis, Jim Stafford, Dino, and comedian Yakov Smirnoff were a few of the scheduled talent. Yakov, true to form, gave a moving speech about a subject he has been known to be passionate about, the great country that we live in and the tragedy of 9/11. ?By the end of it, Yakov was in tears and so were most of the men at my table,? Sarah Herrera of the Cultural Travel Group of Vacationsmadeeasy.com said.
The event seemed to be a great success, Herrera said. For those traveling to Branson in the future, you may see even bigger crowds than before as the performers work to constantly improve their shows and keep the town business booming with entertainment.

The Jim Stafford Show is a comedy and musical medley. Stafford, born in Eloise Florida, brings to the stage a lifetime of entertaining experience, from his first band at age 13, The Legends, to his influential friends like Gram Parsons, and his trademark quick wit. He is known as one of the pioneers of the 1960s country-rock sound, and soon began his one-man band act in Nashville, and was on to making records for MGM studios.
Yakov Smirnoff, a world-famous comedian and United States enthusiast, has been entertaining crowds in Branson since before 1922. Now the owner of his own theater, seating 1400 people, Yakov is a Branson landmark and will continue to pack the house every time in the future.
