Start your day off with a bang! Buck Trent, two-time CMA Instrumentalist of the Year and World Premier Five-String Banjo Picker, gets toes tappin' and hands clappin' with his high-energy country music show.

Buck Trent makes himself at home on the next broadcasts of the Gene Williams Country Television Show along with comedian Murray Conque. "Mr. Banjo, Buck Trent, and I reminisced about Hee Haw and our friends in country music," said Gene, whose show is seen in eleven markets with three more markets being added soon.

Trent is the inventor of the electric banjo and is one of country music's premier banjo players.  He is skilled on most string instruments.  He could play the steel guitar by the time he was seven and was only ten the first time he was on radio.  He became one of Porter Wagoner's Wagonmasters in 1962 and worked extensively with Dolly Parton.  In 1973 he joined Roy Clark and toured with Clark as the first country show to travel to Russia.  For seven years he opened for Roy.  Buck credits Roy with helping him become an entertainer and humorist.  He and Roy won Country Music Association's Instrumental Group of the Year in 1975 and 1976 when he was also voted Instrumentalist of the Year.

Among Trent's numerous television appearances in addition to Hee Haw are the Tonight Show and the Mike Douglas Show.  Early in his career he was a regular on television in Asheville, N.C., before he joined Bill Carlisle on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.  Affectionately known as Mr. Banjo, Trent presents the Buck Trent Morning Show at the Dinner Bell Restaurant in Branson.

"Joining Buck on a show is Murray Conque.  We have a lot of fun with Murray who is a Cajun humorist.  In addition to my show, he has appeared on national television with Regis," said Gene.  "Conque appears regularly at the Mickey Gilley Theater in Branson with 12-year-old Cajun sensation Hunter Hayes."

Trent can be seen on the broadcast:
*Springfield, Branson, Harrison markets on 10/5
*Little Rock, Fort Smith and Shreveport (LA), Dallas, Jonesboro (Ark.), Memphis (Tenn.) on 10/11
*Nashville on 10/18

The show with Trent and Conque will air on:
*Springfield, Branson, Harrison markets on 10/12
*Little Rock, Fort Smith, Shreveport (LA), Dallas, Jonesboro (Ark.), Memphis (Tenn.), on 10/18
*Nashvile on 10/25

Williams, the creator of the only weekly television show taped in Branson about Branson, is an inductee to the Memphis Music Hall of Fame and has worked with greats like Johnny Cash, the Statler Brothers, Car Perkins, the Oak Ridge Boys, the Carter Family, and more.

Williams is credited with blazing many trails for country music television and was recently featured in his own prime time special airing during KAIT's 40th anniversary.  The show includes celebrity interviews and videos from the biggest, hottest names in country music such as Shania Twain, Trace Adkins, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Faith Hill, and more.  Williams is planning a one hour Christmas special which will feature Mickey Gilley and a Christmas greeting from the Oak Ridge Boys among other celebrities.

Williams' co-host is Katie Lynn, an award winning vocalist who has held the Branson Entertainment Awards Best Support Vocalist for the past three years for her work in the Mickey Gilley Show.

I went with my parent's on vaction and I am 42, I have alway's been a horse person and a western movie buff. I grew up listening to Dolly from my parent's. I think her show is best there is!!, and I would really love to see her bring her show to the west Michigan area, Grand Rapid's, Lansing or in between. We have had a lot of job loss in MI and people need something to really cheer them up, not to mention adding job's to the area. It seem's like all the really great thing's to see and do are in the south. Why that is I have no idea, we here in Michigan have a huge amount of horse people and lot's of beautiful countryside, Michigan could really use a Dixie stampede and I have told everyone I know how wonderful the show was and if they ever go to the south they have got to see it. I am planning on going again in 2007.
