Upon entrance to the grand Stampede Show and Dinner area, foot stomping fun for the whole family abounds. Guests are entertained by singing southern belles and gallant heroes who perform breathtaking stunts on majestically decorated stallions. And this is just the beginning! While enjoying the show, cowboys and cowgirls serve up a delicious four-course feast in heaping portions. For two hours straight, adults and kids alike can't stop smiling, singing and clapping to the eye-popping excitement on stage. Between humorous skits and lots of audience participation, Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede guarantees many magical memories. The audience watches in awe as trick riding stunts are performed with precision; the awesome beauty of the sets and performers are mesmerizing. The music and dancing are Dolly-delicious. It's down home fun and frolic, and it feels like Dolly's going to pop out and sing at any moment. The musical extravaganza features a Civil War patriotic theme with dramatic lighting, special effects and superior sound. In fact, Dolly herself wrote the grand finale.
In addition to 32 horses, huge American buffalo loom through the 35,000 square foot arena. The show is home to the world famous pig races! Have you ever seen an ostrich up close? During the Christmas holidays, the Dixie Stampede transforms into a picturesque holiday bonanza. The cowgirl servers transform into elves from the North Pole, and the show set is ablaze with twinkling lights, holiday costumes and delightful Christmas carols. Even Santa makes a special appearance, arriving in a real sleigh! Most spectacular is the live nativity scene featuring the three wise men arriving into Bethlehem atop camels in celebration of the true meaning of Christmas.
