American Presidential Museum- With a life size Oval Office replica the American Presidential museum is chock full of information about the leaders of our country. WIth political memorabilia and many other attractions a day here will be educational, but fun as well.
Bonniebrook Park- The creator of the Kewpie Doll, Rose O'Neill lived in this mansion which has been turned into a museum featuring her artwork and writings. Enjoy walking through the beautiful gardens or see molds of the original Kewpie Dolls.
General Sweeny's Museum- This Civil War museum has over 50 displays full of artifacts and information. The museum overlooks Wilson's Creek National Battlefield and features a full gift shop.
Laura Ingalls Wilder Home and Museum- Only 81 miles from Branson the home of this great American author is a historical destination you do not want to miss. With over 100 years of family artifacts going to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Home and Museum is a history lesson all on its own.
Military Museum of the Ozarks- Thirty miles north of Branson, in Springfield, MO is the Military Museum of the Ozarks. They welcome field trips and delight in teaching about all of America's conflicts. They specialize in restoring old military field and aircraft and are currently working on a Cobra helicopter.
Missouri Sports Hall of Fame- Just 30 minutes north of Branson this two story museum offers interactive exhibits and even and indoor batting cage. With memorabilia form many sports, no sports fan would want to miss an outing to the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
Museum of the Unexplained- In Reeds Spring, MO there is a museum dedicated to the theory that there are other beings in the universe. Run by the only man known to have encountered a UFO this museum shows writings and other information from those who believe in "life out there."
Railroad Historic Museum- Actual train cars house this interesting museum. With many activities for kids including videos, this is a great place to take your family. There is a huge model train layout, and admission to the museum is free.
Ralph Foster Museum- This museum is full of Ozarks history and legend. It houses the original car from "The Beverly Hillbillies" and has 40,000 square feet. Featuring everything from antiques to firearms this is a wonderful place to go to learn about the area.
Springfield Art Museum- The Springfield Art Museum has almost 9,000 pieces of art within its walls. Admission is on a donation basis, and with work from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries this is a place you are sure to want to visit.
Veteran's Memorial Museum- This museum celebrates all of the men and women who have served our great country during the 20th century. The museum is also home to the world's largest bronze sculpture.
World's Largest Toy Museum- Chock full of all of your favorite toys, this museum has just about everything. Dolls, bikes, rubber duckies, if you look hard enough you will probably find it. The museum also has a wide collection of antique toys for those who enjoy studying the history of this fun phenomenon.
