Baldknobbers Jamboree Show
The Baldknobbers started it all back in 1959, when the Mabe brothers, Bob, Jim, Lyle, and Bill set up their show in Branson's old City Hall with 50 folding chairs. They got their name from an old Ozark's vigilante group, and now it is recognized by people all over the world. The four piece band, that set up in the old City Hall, consisting of a washboard, dobro, washtub bass, and a banjo, was a huge hit with the locals. As a result, they are still performing, and still amazing visitors and residents alike. Located in the beautiful Baldknobbers Country Music Theater, right on 76 Country Music Boulevard, they are now the biggest show in Branson. They specialize in country, gospel, and comedy that will make you laugh until it hurts. Show-goers will love everything from the beautiful soulful vocals of Joy Bilyeu and all the other singers, to the zany antics of Droop Junior and Stub Meadows.
After the show, be sure to swing by the gift shop and take home a piece of the Ozarks. There's a wide selection of CD's, clothing, videos, novelties, and more. If after the show, you feel like you could see it a hundred more times, you can even order a video of the performance you had just seen.
