The Air and
Military Museum of the Ozarks (AMMO) offers an excellent hands-on learning experience for guests to learn about warfare and the science behind it.
AMMO has recently acquired the P-51D Mustang plane of Lieutenant William Patton, who went down with his plane near the village of Longueville, France after an unknown mechanical problem developed. Preserved in a bog for 56 years until it was discovered, the remains of the aircraft were removed and restored before being put on display.
Other military history exhibits at the Air & Military Museum of the Ozarks includes aircraft frames, military vehicles, airplane and ship models, and equipment. Bring the entire family along for an educational experience exploring the many exhibits and memoribilia donated to the museum from veterans and their families.
