Located just outside of Branson, MO, Hollister is a town with rich history, which includes the history behind Downing Street.
After its founding in the early 1900's, Hollister began to grow in population. Beginning with the first fully structured street, Downing Street, using style inspiration from the Elizabethan age, Johnson worked to meet his goal of creating an English style village that would attract visitors from all over the world.
Now hosting carnivals and being a part of the National Register of Historical Sites, Johnson's goal seems to have been accomplished within the historical and friendly town of Hollister.
The Hollister Grape Festival is annually held in Hollister, just a short drive from Branson, and offers a great time of family entertainment to everyone attending.
