Roaring River State Park is most popular for its premier trout fishing and campsites.
The terrain of the park is amazing. However, park-goers of all ages can enjoy feeding and watching the fish in the crystal clear spring pool or touring the fish hatchery. Visitors can do a little mountain-biking or hiking through one of seven wide, winding trails that total over 10 miles, or there is a swimming pool for cooling down, a shaded picnic area, and even a store.
For the visitors that wish to spend the night, there are a few different options. Those with tents will find 187 campsites ranging from the primitive to the modernly convenient. Those who would rather sleep in a bed, rather than on the ground, can choose to stay in the elegant Emory Melton Inn and Conference Center which offers 26 guests rooms, a restaurant, a gift shop, and meeting rooms. There are also rustic, private cabins available for rent. Roaring River State Park is an ideal place for a day-trip from Branson, or for an entire vacation.
In addition to fishing, Kids' Fishing Day at Roaring River in Cassville, MO will feature classes on fish cleaning, aquatic entomology, fish cooking, knife sharpening, knot tying, fly tying, fly casting, and more.
