Description

Do not miss out on your chance to enjoy an evening of great country music with the legend, Kenny Rogers; in Branson for just a limited time, Kenny Rogers will bring up the memories with his nostalgic music and timeless hits.

A talented jack-of-all-trades, Rogers is not only a singer, but he takes the title of songwriter, photographer, record producer, actor, and author. This multi-talented sensation brings with him the hits, “The Gambler” and “Crazy” for a night of entertainment that will have you singing and dancing along.

Career
Rogers grew up in Houston, Texas, where he developed a love of music early on. In the 1950s, he debuted in the music industry with a rockabilly group called The Scholars. Though he was not the lead singer, the band did enjoy some success until they disbanded. From there, Rogers launched his solo career, releasing his single, “That Crazy Feeling” in 1958.

His popularity, at this point, exploded as he began to transcend different musical genres as he worked with bands such as The Bobby Doyle Three and The First Edition, until he set out on his own in 1976. He signed with United Artists record label and went on to release several albums under this label, including Love Lifted Me, his self-titled album, and The Gambler, which was his multi-million selling album.

He also paired up with Dottie West for a series of albums which won him several accolades and awards. He performed with other artists as well, including Lionel Richie, Sheena Easton, and Dolly Parton. In 1983, he released his album Eyes That See in the Dark, which produced his No. 1 hit, “Islands in the Stream”.

Rogers continued to release several other albums, and he made a permanent place for himself among the top charts. Through the course of his career, he produced over 27 studio albums, several Greatest Hits and compilation albums as well as Christmas albums. With so many awards, singles, and albums under his belt, Kenny Rogers became a household name, especially for country music lovers.
