Neil Sedaka is a pop/rock artist born in Brooklyn with an impressive career that spans more than 50 years, over which he has sold millions of records and co-written more than 500 songs for himself and for other performers. Captain and Tennille are a husband-and-wife duo that have released five gold and platinum albums and have scored hits on US charts over the years. The Carpenters were comprised of siblings Karen and Richard Carpenter that recorded 11 albums, 31 singles, and more during their music career from 1969-83, only ending with Karen's death in 1983. During their 14 year career, they recorded numerous melodic pop singles and released songs including "Close To You" and "We've Only Just Begun".
