Join Tony Butala, Donovan Tea, and Bobby Poynton of The Lettermen as they bring their harmonious voices to the stage in Branson!
In 1959, the original group of Tony Butala, Jim Pike, and Bob Engemann began recording, and in 1961, their first hit song, 'The Way You Look Tonight,' reached Number 13 on the Billboard chart. Later that year, 'When I Fall in Love' hit Number 7, established the trio as the most romantic singing group of the 1960s, and since that time, the Lettermen trio has been recording and performing continuously for over 50 years! The group now consists of the group's original founding member, Tony Butala, Donovan Tea (an accomplished singer-songwriter with the group for over 30 years), and Bobby Poynton (who first joined the group in 1989 and has recently returned.)
Throughout the years, The Lettermen have produced over 70 albums, with 18 of those certified gold worldwide. Four of those gold-certified albums are The Lettermen...And Live (1967), Goin' Out of My Mind (1968), Best of the Lettermen (1969), and Hurt So Bad (1970). More recent albums include The Lettermen Greatest Movie Hits, The Lettermen Best of Broadway, and The Lettermen Live in the Philippines. The group has performed at over 10,000 sold-out shows, and their tours abroad have included visits to Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, France, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. They have also toured with George Burns, Jack Benny, Bob Hope, and Bill Cosby, and have made over 200 appearances on television shows like Dick Clark's American Bandstand and variety shows.
