Veterans Day is a time to honor those who have served for their country, risking their own lives to defend the country's freedom and independence. It is a day to remember those who have fallen in the line of duty as well as to honor those in our presence and aboard with special recognition, moments of silence, and tributes. In Branson, Veterans Homecoming Week runs from November 5 through November 11 and features a range of excellent events that are perfect for celebrating the occasion.

Ride the Ducks Salute to Veterans Event

You can partake in the Ride the Ducks Salute to Veterans Event. This sightseeing tour combines your typical Ride the Ducks sightseeing tour through Branson's streets and waterways with interesting military narration. You will hear stories about service men and women such as Rosier the Riveter and others who actually used the amphibious, former-military Ducks vehicles in combat in World War II.

#1 Hits of the 60's

The #1 Hits of the 60's musical show at the Caravelle Theatre is offering discounted admission for veterans and is also featuring a unique combination of patriotic tunes along with its regular musical numbers. The show regularly features some of your favorite hits from the 60s from such great artists as the Beatles, the Righteous Brothers, the Monkees, the Temptations, and others. The cast includes eight incredible musicians and dancers along with an eight-piece band playing live on stage.

Yakov Smirnoff Show

Yakov Smirnoff's Show gives you a comedic way to celebrate your patriotism. Yakov is a world-class comedian whose love of the United States shows through in every performance, and during Veteran's Week, veterans will receive a discounted admission price. Active military personnel are always provided complimentary admission.

Red, Hot... and Blue!

Celebrate Veterans Week in a big way with seats at the Red, Hot... and Blue! show at the Americana Theatre. This show celebrates the great musical tradition that America is known for with a high energy show packed with tunes from across the decades. You can really let loose as you listen to your favorite tunes from the 40s through the present, and there is a special emphasis on patriotic tunes.

#1 Hits of the 60's
We have been going to this show for years. The first time i saw it we were invited by julie flora. She took my granddaughter on stage for one of the dances and since then she has never missed going to branson with us (the past 4 years). The show was awesome for all ages and entertaining. Julie is gone but the show is still awesome and i highly recommend it.

#1 Hits of the 60's
All four of us loved it. The song selections were great. We like the trivia questions and the audience participation. It was truly a fun evening of entertainment. It brought back a lot of memories. The ending with the salute to the kennedys' and martin luther king was very moving and truly summed up the era.
