Branson Shows Knows 10/13
Every week, our Branson experts ask our thousands of Facebook fans for questions about the city, shows, restaurants, shopping—anything in Branson they always wanted to know. Our gurus, once a week, select the top queries and hunt down the answers. This week, we're talking about fall entertainment in the Branson area!
Here are this week's top questions:
Q: Are there any pick your own pumpkin patches or apple orchards in Branson?
A: Yes there are! Bear Creek Farms, located to the North of Branson, is not only an orchard but also an apiary where visitors can pick up some delicious local honey! If you're looking for some pumpkins or just general outdoor fun, then McKenna Family Farm, located to the northeast of town, features a sprawling pumpkin patch and fun family games. Although pumpkins and apples are seasonal, both locations are open various times throughout the year with seasonal produce and activities!
Q: What are some fun fall things to do in Branson with children?
A: Autumn is one of the best times of the year in the Ozarks! There are plenty of fantastic things for the whole family to do this fall. Take in the beautiful fall foliage on the Branson Scenic Railway, or enjoy the gorgeous fall weather with a hike through Dogwood Canyon. Bigger kids will enjoy flying through the trees on the Branson Zipline, and the whole family can get out and enjoy everything fall at Silver Dollar City's annual Harvest and Cowboy Festival, which usually goes from September through October. There are also plenty of fall deals at the many shopping malls, and plenty of shows to see! No matter what your taste, there are lots of fall activities in Branson!
Q: Does Branson have any good haunted houses?
A: While Branson itself doesn't have any haunted houses, Reeds Spring is home to Branson's Haunted Screampark, a haunted house attraction that features several different terrifying attractions to walk through including a haunted graveyard, a mirror maze, and more. The location also features a fun 'thrill zone' with bumper cars, an arcade, and an escape room. This seasonal attraction is open during October.
Q: Is there a corn maze somewhere near Branson?
A: The nearest corn maze has to be at Campbell's Maze Daze and Pumpkin Patch, located an hour away in Clever, MO. This popular local spot has both a regular and haunted maze, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, scavenger hunts, live weekend music, face painting, and more! Groups can even reserve a bonfire and roast s'mores while enjoying the beautiful fall weather.
