Every week, our Branson experts ask our thousands of Facebook fans for questions about the city they always wanted to know. Our gurus, once a week, select the top queries and hunt down the answers. Today we're talking about Christmas in Branson. Here are this week's top questions:

Q: When do they start having Christmas lights in Branson?

A: Driving around to see all of the Christmas lights in Branson is a favorite pastime in the area, and while we can't say when the houses in the city will be lit, there are several commercial displays that visitors can see including Branson's Gift of Lights, the Trail of Lights, and the new Ozark Mountain Christmas Lights & Village. Silver Dollar City also has a spectacular lights display that simply can't be beat. And, generally speaking, all four light displays turn on around the first of November, and most run through the month of December.

Q: Where is the best place to see the Christmas lights in Branson?

A: Branson is absolutely full of Christmas lights and one of the most popular is the Trail of Lights at Shepherd of the Hills in Branson. This drive-through display features millions of Christmas lights, including animated scenes and a trip to the top of Inspiration Tower for a view of Branson from 230 feet in the air. This Santa's eye view is the best way to take in the splendor of Branson all at once, and hot chocolate is also often available to complete the experience!

Q: Are there any Christmas tree farms in Branson?

A: While there are several farms in the Ozarks specializing in various forms of produce, there aren't really any that specialize in Christmas trees. However, if you're intent on picking up a real tree to decorate this holiday season, there are several locations around town that sell pre-cut trees, including as Home Depot. If you're looking for less mess, then plenty of locations sell fake trees and everything you could imagine for decorations.

Silver Dollar City
A great place. The old west town is like stepping into a time machine. Saw the child magician show and it was ok. The highlight was marvel caves. I have done the daylight tour and it is good, don't get me wrong, but if you get the chance do the lamp light tour. You have 90 minutes to go through marvel cave. It is dark and you have but a little lantern. You get to hear a lot more about the history of the caves and the ghost stories rock.

Trail of Lights
The lights were fabulous and the attraction itself was easy to find and to take part in. We'd recommend it highly.
