Branson Shows Knows 11/3
Every week, our Branson experts ask our thousands of Facebook fans for questions about the city, shows, restaurants, shopping—anything in Branson they always wanted to know. Our gurus, once a week, select the top queries and hunt down the answers. Here are this week's top questions:
Q: Are there any new Christmas shows in Branson this year?
A: Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year—especially in Branson! Every year, Branson has dozens of shows that feature Christmas tunes and every year, they're all a little different. But, in true show business fashion, there are also new angles and new shows. In 2016, the newest show was Maxine's Christmas Carol, which features Hallmark's sassy grandma reliving the Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol." That's not all that's new though--for a full list of this year's top shows, check out our Christmas lineup article for the full list!
Q: What are some good Branson Christmas shows for children?
A: Branson is a great place to take children, and the Christmas season is full of joy and fun for the whole family. If you're looking for a great Branson Christmas show for kids, then check out Dixie Stampede's Christmas Show, the Old Time Christmas performances and shops in Silver Dollar City, or the Hamners' Wings of Christmas. Other popular Christmas shows include The Showboat Branson Belle, Christmas on the Trail Chuckwagon Dinner Show, and the Andy Williams Christmas Variety Show.
Q: Are there any Branson area appreciation dates for Christmas shows?
A: Area Appreciation, is probably one of the most common questions that we get! In fact, we've talked about this before. Using area appreciation, residents of Taney and nearby counties can have the chance to see Branson shows and visit Branson attractions for a discounted rate. Usually, all it takes is a valid ID with your address on it. Shows that have offered Christmas area appreciation in the past include the Showboat Branson Belle and Sight and Sound Theater. However, not all shows participate every year, so your best bet is to contact the show and ask.
