Branson Shows Knows 8/25

Every week, our Branson experts ask our thousands of Facebook fans for questions about the city, shows, restaurants, shopping—anything in Branson they always wanted to know. Our gurus, once a week, select the top queries and hunt down the answers. Here are this week's top questions:
Q: Is Branson family-friendly?
A: Yes! Branson, Missouri prides itself on providing wholesome family entertainment perfect for kids and adults alike! There are tons of things for the whole family to do including museums, music shows, theme parks, shopping and more. No matter your age, Branson is the place to be!
Q: What are some good kid-friendly attractions in Branson?
A: Branson, Missouri is a fantastic place to take your kids on a vacation. And, no matter what ages you have, they’re sure to find something to enjoy! Popular activities with younger children include seeing all the butterflies at the Butterfly Palace, quacking away on Ride the Ducks, riding the Branson Scenic Railway, and walking through the Titanic Museum. Another kid favorite is Hamners' Unbelievable Variety Show, which features magic, dancing, and plenty of things to keep kids entertained.
For older kids, Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum is filled with oddities sure to pique their interest, Pirates Cove Adventure Golf is a popular mini golf location, and the Branson Zipline is always popular during the spring, summer, and even early fall. If your kids are old enough, zipping around the go kart tracks at The Lumberjack is also extremely popular!
Of course, if you have a mix of ages, then let the whole family enjoy some of the great attractions like Silver Dollar City, White Water, Dixie Stampede, the World's Largest Toy Museum, and the Rick Thomas Illusionist & Magic Show! No matter what your child is interested in, Branson definitely has something.
Q: What’s the weather like in Branson?
A: Missouri has a wide variety of weather. Here, we say “If you don’t like the weather outside, wait a few minutes!” However, there are a few things we can usually count on. Generally speaking, the temperature starts dropping in September and by the end of September and the beginning of October, you’ll definitely need a coat. Snow usually happens sporadically in January and sometimes February, although it’s really the ice you have to watch out for! December usually has several ice storms. Warm weather generally happens around May. We have a lot of pollen in the spring, so bring allergy medication, and summers are very humid, so be prepared to drink a lot of water! We always recommend you keep an eye on the weather a week before you go so you can pack appropriately, and be prepared for lots of fun, rain or shine!
Q: When do Branson’s Christmas shows start?
A: Branson is absolutely magical during Christmas and, much like the retail stores across the country, the Christmas spirit reaches Branson before Christmas. Generally speaking, Christmas shows and decorations start in Branson around the beginning of November and the cheer lasts all the way through the holidays.

White Water
Nice waterpark. Not too big to get around and you can easily get to all the attractions throughout the day.

Even better than we expected. We didn't allow enough time and had to arrange to go back to finish. Unlike the typical branson 2-hour show, suggest allowing 4-5 hours for this visit. They do an excellent job of personalizing the experience, getting you to think about what it must have been like — both the highs and lows — to be on that ship. And the staff are remarkably knowledgeable and pleasant.

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show - Branson, MO
Went to see the christmas show. It was truly amazing. If you weren't in the christmas spirit before you went, you will be after ward. The nativity was beautiful. The north and south feud was so fun, the food was great and so much of it. Don't eat lunch that day. My four year old son, barely ate anything and honestly said about two words, he was so mezmerized by the horses, the ostrich and pig races. Definitely expensive, but if you have to choose, pick this one.
