Every week, our Branson experts ask our thousands of Facebook fans for questions about the city, shows, restaurants, shopping—anything in Branson they always wanted to know. Our gurus, once a week, select the top queries and hunt down the answers. Here are this week's top questions:

Q: When is Close Enough for Country playing in Branson again?

A: Great question! This awesome local band will indeed be playing in Branson this year, with additional live shows in Kimberling City, St. Louis, and St. Marys. Check out the Facebook page for dates!

Q: Are there any cabins on Lake Taneycomo or Table Rock Lake that allow dogs?

A: Unfortunately, there are not a lot of lakeside cabins that allow dogs, but if you know where to look, you'll find a few here and there. Many cabins have restrictions, additional pet fees, or weight limits, so be sure to check ahead of time. A few cabins that allow pets are Taneycomo Lake Resort which allows dogs under 25 lbs or Branson Vacation Rentals which has dog-friendly cabin on Table Rock Lake and in Branson. Branson Vacation Houses also has a few pet-friendly lakeside properties.

Q: What's the name of the zipline in Branson where you're sitting down?

A: The zipline you're talking about is Parakeet Pete's Waterfront Zipline, located at the Branson Landing. Unlike most ziplines, where you are hanging from a harness, Parakeet Pete's is more like a ski lift chair and it flies over Lake Taneycomo for some awesome views. It's definitely a great experience if you don't mind heights and aren't interested in regular ziplines. You can get more information on it or pick up tickets here.

Q: Is the Branson train still operating?

A: Yes it is! The Branson Scenic Railway offers a 40-mile round trip which explores the Ozark foothills. The ride takes about two hours and is extremely popular, so make sure to get tickets early. Additionally, the railway offers a Polar Express Ride the month of December, where kids can hear the classic story, meet Santa, receive their own bell to ring, and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies on the train. This event always sells out, so if you want to attend make sure to book tickets as early as possible. Tickets for the Polar Express often go on sale as early as August. Be sure to check back next week for more answers, and don't forget to Like our Facebook page to submit your own questions!
