If you're looking for some fun things to do in Missouri during a weekend getaway or if you are planning a whole vacation, then Branson is the perfect place to start. We have shows, theme parks, daring outdoor adventures, beautiful scenery, fantastic shops and delicious food! No matter what your taste, style and pace, Branson has something just for you.

Step back into the 1800s at the height of the Old West when you travel to Silver Dollar City. Visit the quaint shops and see real artisans demonstrating 19th century techniques of candy making, blacksmithing, woodworking and more! With more than thirty thrilling rides and attractions and wonderful shows performing year-round, Silver Dollar City is definitely at the top or our list of fun things to do in Missouri.
To round out your  trip through the 1800s, why not check out Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede and cheer on the North and South as they engage in a friendly competition set during the civil war? Enjoy a delicious, fun four-course meal with your hands--just like they would on the trail--while you watch dazzling races, stunning tricks, beautiful costumes and even have the chance to see a real herd of buffalo! There's no better place to enjoy dinner and a show in Branson than Dixie Stampede.
If you're looking for a way to cool off in the summer, then why not take the kids to White Water for a splashing good time for the whole family? With 13 acres of pools, slides and water rides, there is a little bit of something for everyone. Even toddlers can splash and giggle the day away in a special area just for kids. If you're looking for something a little more fast-paced, then dare to take the plunge in the new KaPau Plummet, the biggest ride in White Water featuring a thrilling free fall.
For those who can't get enough of the action, take an adventure through Ozark's wilderness on one of Branson's Zipline Canopy Tours. Zoom over tree tops and enjoy a bird's eye view of the breathtaking beauty that draws tourists back to Branson year after year. Your heart will pound with excitement and the real thrill-seekers can even enjoy a free-fall during the Blue Streak Fast Line & Free Fall Xpress.
The last on our list of five fun things to do in Missouri has to be the Sight and Sound Theatre. Known as the "Christian Broadway," the Sight and Sound Theatre features dazzling live faith-based shows year-round for a unforgettable religious experience for the whole family. Right now, the theatre is performing the musical "Jonah" performing the classic tale of how Jonah disobeyed God and then repented and obeyed. With spectacular sets, wondrous costumes, and original songs, the show is sure to be one to remember.

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show - Branson, MO
This was by far the best activity we did as a family on our vacation to branson. Our boys, 3yrs and 6yrs, loved every minute of it. I was very surprised that it held our 3yr old's attention as well as it did, he was mesmerized. We almost skipped the pre-show but were so glad that we didn't because it was great! The food was good and the animals beautiful. The riders were skilled and great at what they do. I would highly recommend it to anyone!
