Here's a few of our favorite fun places to eat in Branson:

Hard Luck Diner in Branson

For visitors who are looking for exciting dining a little more off the beaten path, though, consider a few of the more unique Branson favorites. The Hard Luck Diner is definitely a Branson dining icon set in the style of a 1950s-era diner. Keep in mind that this in Branson, so naturally the entire staff consists of charming singers and musicians who entertain as they serve you themed selections such as the Love Me Tender Fried Steak or the grilled Cheese Release Me sandwich!

Cakes 'N' Cream Dessert Parlor in Branson

When your sweet tooth gets to nagging you, head over to the famous Cakes 'N' Cream Dessert Parlor for a huge selection of scrumptious pies, cakes, cobblers, ice cream and, of course, a 1950s-style soda fountain. Carnival-style funnel cakes topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream are among the favorite selections in this unique dessert parlor. Stop after a show to fill up on these Americana favorites and if the show music still has your toes tapping, fire up the old Wurlitzer jukebox and grab your sweetie for a quick dance! And don't worry if you happen to come upon long lines of other visitors eager to try out these sweet delicacies — the line moves quite fast and it is entirely worth any wait!

Branson Cafe in Branson

You're in the heart of Ozark Mountain country, so hearty Southern-style home cooking' reigns here. Head downtown to the Branson Cafe, a city mainstay that has been in the Ozarks since 1910. The friendly staff adds a bit of warmth to this old-fashioned diner that has kept on serving up hot favorites through the Great Depression, two World Wars and all the changes that transformed Branson from a quiet mountain town to the Live Entertainment Capital of the World. Hot coffee, cool dessert and home-style favorites like biscuits & gravy and pork tenderloin sandwiches make this well-priced downtown diner a local favorite.

Lambert's Cafe near Branson

You haven't visited Branson if you haven't made a stop at Lambert's Cafe! Located in Ozark between Branson and Springfield on Highway 65 North, this is the famous Home of Threw Rolls. This Ozarks dining centerpiece features one of the most exciting and entertaining restaurant experiences anywhere. After being seated at a comfortable table, you'll want to keep your eyes peeled and stay ready to catch fresh, hot rolls as they sail to your table from the able hands of an expert roll thrower. Be sure to come to Lamberts Cafe extra hungry as you'll receive unlimited portions of your meal as well as free pass-around including fried okra, fried potatoes & onions, sorghum for the rolls and more! The staff seems to have as much fun as the guests, and there's no doubt you'll enjoy a fair share of laughter and thrills during your stay.

Stage Door Restaurant

Located at the Welk Resort Center, this restaurant takes a step back in time. The decor is that of the WWII-era, and the walls are lined with '30's, '40's, and '50's memorabilia that evokes a simpler time in our country's past. Soldier's uniforms, love letters, posters, and photographs provide a glimpse into America's history. The menu at the Stage Door features American and German food that's prepared just right. Order a bratwurst sandwich or a burger topped with all the fixings. Come early, and you'll get to hear the Lennon Brothers warming up for their morning show at the Welk Theatre.

White River Fish House at Branson Landing

With floor to ceiling panoramic windows, the White River Fish House offers a beautiful view of Lake Taneycomo. Located at the Branson Landing, this scenic restaurant is actually a floating barge serving up local favorites to fisherman and shoppers alike. Whether you arrive by car or boat, you will enjoy their great menu selections served in a pleasing atmosphere. The White River Fish House was recently named the Best Restaurant in Branson by 417 Magazine and we think you will agree that this is a one of a kind restaurant.

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show - Branson, MO
This was by far the best activity we did as a family on our vacation to branson. Our boys, 3yrs and 6yrs, loved every minute of it. I was very surprised that it held our 3yr old's attention as well as it did, he was mesmerized. We almost skipped the pre-show but were so glad that we didn't because it was great! The food was good and the animals beautiful. The riders were skilled and great at what they do. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show - Branson, MO
We absolutely loved the show! This was our second time back and i think this one was the best. It is hard to say which is our favorite part. I must say the american indian section especially the flying eagle was so breathtaking. I think i literally held my breath the entire time she was flying, she was so graceful. My husband said he loved the pigs.....Lol it truly is amazing how you have worked so hard to get so many wagons and persons in that small space. Truly remarkable choreography on your part! Lastly, being a veteran your tribute to our country at the end with our flags and the lit up colors on the horses and the outfits of your personnel was simply beautiful. You have some fine singers and they were all energetic and were pleased to be providing us with a wonderful show. Of course lets not forget to mention our server samantha, she was awesome. She did a great job. A very sweet girl. Thanks again for making our vacation a wonderful and fun time! We hope to make the christmas show which we have heard is gorgeous. God bless you all.......

Showboat Branson Belle Lunch & Dinner Cruises
What a great experience!! I booked our family on the dinner boat for the 4th of july. We had the seats to the far end of the boat. The only down side to it is the overhang from above. When janis did her violin act with the ropes we couldn't see what was happening when she went to the top. The food was fine, the acts were great (i wasn't so sure when i booked) and the best part was they stopped the boat on the lake so we could leave our seats and go on deck to watch the fireworks from the boat. It looked like a sea of christmas lights with the all the boats on the lake and the fireworks put on by branson was spectacular. This event was worth every penny we spent in spite of the low view from our seating. Our son still speaks of the event. He was able to get his picture taken with the captain. All the staff were pleasant and willing to assist if and when needed. The sail was so smooth we didn't realize we were moving. A wonderful memory for our entire family. Love, love, loved it!!
