Holiday Attractions Across the Nation

The holidays have arrived and more areas are starting offer opportunities for some fantastic seasonal celebrations. From Nashville, TN to Branson, MO, everyone is putting on special Christmas shows and working on holiday-themed attractions. You may want to consider taking your whole family out to experience the holidays in a special way at some of these locations this year.

Treat yourself to several holiday attractions with a trip to Nashville, TN. Visit ICE! at Gaylord's Opryland Nashville to see colorful, larger-than-life ice carvings that feature a “Santa Clause is Coming to Town” theme. Of course, you also have to see the Radio City Rockettes Nashville perform their legendary Christmas show while you're in town. Their precision dancing and legendary high kicks lend a special sparkle to holiday classics like the '12 Days of Christmas' and 'Parade of Wooden Soldiers.'

For those interested in a more Northern holiday experience, pack up and visit Lancaster, PA. Lancaster is famous for its huge productions like the Miracle of Christmas at The Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre. This show has live animals, authentic looking sets, and gorgeous costumes that really bring the story of Christmas and the birth of baby Jesus to life. Voices of Christmas at The Sight and Sound Living Waters Theatre also has an original production that features the story of Jesus' birth combined with secular Christmas music.

If you haven't experienced enough Christmas cheer at the last two shows, it may be time to stop by the National Christmas Center Family Attraction and Museum. This year-round Christmas center gives visitors the chance to experience Christmas from the perspective of other cultures around the world! If you want to visit a city that wholeheartedly embraces the Christmas season, make plans to visit Branson, MO. This show town has over 100 productions that are celebrating the Christmas season with energetic Christmas performances. With everything from The Miracle of Christmas to Andy William's Christmas show, this town has it all. Even area attractions like Titanic are getting into the Christmas spirit and have special displays to celebrate the season!

Even better than we expected. We didn't allow enough time and had to arrange to go back to finish. Unlike the typical branson 2-hour show, suggest allowing 4-5 hours for this visit. They do an excellent job of personalizing the experience, getting you to think about what it must have been like — both the highs and lows — to be on that ship. And the staff are remarkably knowledgeable and pleasant.

We loved this museum! Very informative. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. Very detailed information on the people and crew that actually were aboard this ship so many decades ago. Easily one our favorite attractions while in branson.
