IMAX Theater in Branson

The IMAX Entertainment Complex in Branson is famous for its gigantic screens, shopping, food and live shows.  The enormous IMAX screens are 6 stories high and 83 feet wide and will turn any film into a “big” event!  IMAX is known for its IMAX adventure films, but the complex also features Hollywood's biggest hit movies.  You can get refreshments or even eat an entire meal at the complex at McFarlain's Family Restaurant or the IMAX food court.  Visitors can even shop at the complex at the indoor shopping mall featuring 16 stores full of Ozark souvenirs, quilts, fudge, clocks and IMAX film merchandise.

Smoke On The Mountain

A featured attraction taking place right now at IMAX is Smoke on the Mountain, a live show depicting the 1930s re-enactment of the Saturday night sing-along held at Mt. Pleasant Church in North Carolina.  The Sanders Family, a group of singers, enables the audience to join them in a lot of laughing and singing as if they were part of the choir from the church.  Bluegrass and gospel tunes are played as the audience is drawn in by the family's incredible singing voices.   Children love interactive entertainment and they will remember this show for many years.

A Tribute to Marty Robbins

Another featured show at the complex is A Tribute to Marty Robbins, which will be staged at the Little Opry Theatre at the IMAX complex.  Talented entertainers and musicians perform as they pay tribute to the legendary country crooner.  Robbins is a Grammy Award winner and is recognized in the Country Music Hall of Fame, so you can rest assured that this featured attraction will be time well spent.

Strait Country

Another featured attraction at Branson’s IMAX is Strait Country, a tribute to the living legend.  This incredible live show features many of the legendary artist’s 57 #1 hits, including “Ocean Front Property” and “Amarillo By Morning”.  Tribute will also be given other country greats, such as Patsy Cline, Allison Krauss, and Alan Jackson.  This amazing tribute also includes bluegrass, comedy, and gospel.  The show begins in February 2011, so be sure to secure tickets early so you don’t miss this amazing performance!
