Off-Season Attractions, Museums, and Shopping in Branson, Mo

Branson's entertainment still sizzles during the cold winter months of the off-season. A trip to "Hot Winter Fun!" during the months of January, February and March is a sure way to cure the winter blues. Many shops are open year-round, making off-season shopping a great time to find deals and avoid the crowds.

If you really want to visit Branson for the shows, note that most performances are not available during January, and have limited runs in February and March. Be sure to check the schedules for the shows you'd like to see before planning your vacation during these months!

The World's Largest Toy Museum is like a trip down memory lane.  You'll find thousands of toys from past and present day manufacturers.  Stroll through the displays and you'll find trains and trucks, dolls and much, much more.

Hollywood Wax Museum will walk you through the history of American pop culture with life-like wax replicas of characters from Lethal Weapon, King Kong, Forrest Gump, Zorro, Top Gun, MASH, Star Trek, Seinfeld, and Happy Days. Enjoy recreations of big-time musicians like John Lennon and Sonny Bono as well as athletes like Michael Jordan.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum displays strange exhibits such as a vampire-slaying kit, a two-headed calf, and a model of the Roman Coliseum made from playing cards. Take your camera; it's the most photographed building in Branson!

Veterans Memorial Museum of Branson contains over 2,000 exhibits on 18,000 sq. ft. in honor of the brave men and women who fought in World Wars I & II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Persian Gulf. You'll be moved by this powerful tribute to veterans from all branches of the United States military service.

Outlet Malls:

And shoppers will find plenty of bargains at Branson's Outlet Malls. Tanger Outlet Center on Highway 76 has more than 60 stores. Next to White Water, you'll find Factory Merchants Branson Outlet, with over 90 stores and shops.

Don't let winter weather dampen your spirits. Steer clear of the summer traffic and make your way to the annual "Hot Winter Fun!" in Branson.

Veterans Memorial Museum
Being a navy vet and history buff i found the museum particularly interesting. I was able to find my brother-in-law's name on the viet nam wall as well as two of my shipmates that died during desert storm. It is a must see for all vets. I am planning a revisit in the very near future..
