The Payne Stewart Golf Club in Branson Hills
The Payne Stewart Golf Club in Branson Hills was built as a tribute to Springfield Missouri Native, Payne Stewart, with an 18 hole course designed by Bobby Clampett and Chuck Smith.
Payne Stewart is truly unforgettable, not only for his old fashioned traditional golf attire, but for the fact that his attire represented his old fashioned traditional values. While even an untrained eye could recognize that Stewart stood apart, with his knickers and ivy caps, ask any golfer and they'll tell you he also stood apart for his graceful swing, impeccable manners and legendary sportsmanship.
Each hole on this tribute course is named for a notable moment in Payne's life or golf career. Hole fourteen is called 'Big Heart', but Stewart would likely most proudly claim the title of the eighteenth hole, 'Fatherhood,' and to that we respond with hole fourteen, 'Amen.'
Enter the clubhouse and you've entered the many faces of Payne Stewart exhibition. With photos chronicling his career and family life, you feel as if you are in Payne's personal family room, with food and drink service.
The Payne Stewart Golf Club is located on Branson Hills Parkway, near the Branson RecPlex.
