The Top Attractions in Missouri
Some of Missouri's very best attractions are conveniently located in one place. Branson, Missouri. You can view a list of the best Branson attractions here!
Of course Branson is known for the music and comedy shows that line the famous 'strip,' 76 Country Music Boulevard, earning the city the title of Live Entertainment Capital. With more seats than Broadway in the more than 50 theaters, there really is something for every taste. More and more shows are designed to appeal to younger audiences, while the old original shows maintain their fan base as well. Paul Harris and The Cleverlys is one of the most original shows featuring truly hilarious stand-up comedy, and a comedic, and extremely musically talented bluegrass band, that plays across genres, but all in bluegrass style. The live entertainment extends to a variety of magic and illusion shows, with long-time Branson favorite Kirby Vanburch, and a modern magic-star filled show in The Revollusionists.
But aside from the more than 100 live shows in Branson, there are plenty of attractions for the fun-loving thrill seekers. Silver Dollar City is the area's oldest theme park, and they are always adding new thrill rides and attractions to the park. Several zip-lines operate in the area, from Parakeet Pete's on Branson Landing, which is a gondola style zip ride over Lake Taneycomo, to Branson Ziplines and Canopy Tours where you choose how long and far you want to fly through the Ozarks tree-tops.
If golf is your game, there are a dozen courses in and around Branson. You can find a course for any skill level, from the par three, nine-hole city operated Don Gardner Golf Course, to the extremely challenging Pointe Royale Golf Course. The strip is also dotted with a variety of mini-golf attractions, many with go-karts.
The area lakes add another layer of fun activities with typical water sports, spectacular fishing, and dinner cruises on Table Rock Lake aboard the Showboat Branson Belle. Or ride an amphibious vehicle for a tour about town, and splash right into Lake Taneycomo.
