Bolivar Square is the heart of Boliver, MO, located just a few miles north of Branson. The square hosts multiple events throughout the year encouraging residents and tourists alike to patronize downtown Bolivar and keep the spirit of the small town alive.
A team of dedicated professionals work to keep downtown Bolivar beautiful and bustling. They also thrive on their events which are built on generous donors and volunteers. The events begin with five free "cruise-ins" hosted on the third Saturday each month, April through August. They have fantastic cars to view, food to eat and live music. They lead up to the car show at Bolivar Country Days, an annual festival. As winter approaches they host an Elf Scavenger Hunt for kids to find elves and compete for a grand prize.
Bolivar is probably best known for Bolivar Country Days. The fair began several years ago and is a free festival. It features live local artists on the stage in the square and they are surrounded by dozens of booths with arts and crafts and traditional fair food. There is a car show, local photographers and artists as well as a Kids Alley, with games for the kids and a beauty pagaent.
Bolivar Square captures true small town living. The historic town features not only fun-filled, family-friendly events, but also several businesses for everyday shopping and dining. Make sure to visit Bolivar Square and experience it yourself.
