Bull Shoals Lake in Branson, MO

As part of the tri-lake area of the Ozarks, Bull Shoals Lake is an inviting natural environment only 20 minutes from Historic Downtown Branson. As a warm, fresh water lake, Bull Shoals offers anglers a wide variety of fishing options. A number of Bass, including Large Mouth, Spotted and White are always popular sport, with Stripers, Crappie, Catfish and Walleye also accessible from Bull Shoals. Make note though, half of Bull Shoals rests in Arkansas. If you happen to be fishing on the Arkansas side without the appropriate license you will incur penalties.

Of course, fishing isn't the only recreational activity offered by Bull Shoals. With its warm climate, Bull Shoals makes for a great place to swim, and with the natural beauty it is also a great place to simply kick back and relax.

We went here almost every year on vacation. I grew up in the Quad Cities (Illinois) and we camped and fished here every year for at least 16 years that I can remember. I have many fun memories of Bull Shoals Lake.

Our family drove down to the Ozarks from the Quad Cities in Illinois every year on vacation. We met family friends, with kids our age, at our favorite camping spot at Bull Shoals and had a great time. Those are family memories I'll always treasure.
