Shake, rattle and roll or bop until you drop at the 50's At The Hop at the Jim Stafford Theater in Branson, Missouri. You will hear over 50 of your favorite oldies in the course of 2 hours and be transported to the fun and excitement of a bygone era. You may even find yourself jumping out of your seat to "Hand Jive" or "Cry" along with the performers.
The dancers and singers take you back to "The Hop." There, the Hoppettes dance the night away with their Dream Dates. The whirlwind pace of the choreography will leave you breathless through numerous dances and countless costume changes. You will hear renditions of such classics as "Splish Splash," "Rock Around the Clock," "Baby Love," and "Great Balls of Fire" just to name a few. The five-piece band also joins in during many of the musical numbers including an a cappella doo wop guaranteed to have you singing "Get A Job."
Plus, you may be the lucky audience participant who gets selected to become a cast member! The Hoppettes feature their own special version of "He's a Rebel" while the amazing Ray Anthony delivers a tribute to Richie Valens -- the only one endorsed by his estate. And, of course, you are going to be wowed by the King. No 50's show would be complete without the appearance of Elvis. You may find the reaction of women in the audience equally entertaining as they scream and wave just like they did when Elvis made his first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show years ago.
The high energy 50's At The Hop show is brilliantly executed and captures the spirit of 50's music and entertainment. Your whole family will enjoy experiencing the fun and playfulness of rock-and-roll in its beginnings.
