About Shepherd of the Hills Historic Homestead
The Ozark Mountains provide some of Missouri and Arkansas' most breathtaking scenery. The location immediately became an inspiration to many creative minds who visited, thanks to its expansive forests and beautiful rivers. Harold Bell Wright was one of these people, and he was so taken with the place that he wrote a novel called Shepherd of the Hills based on what he observed. Guests can marvel at the magnificent Ozark Mountains and experience what Harold Bell Wright saw and fell in love with in the early 1900s with Inspiration Tower and the other attractions at Shepherd of the Hills.
Visitors will be able to visit the farmhouse during the Christmas season to view the lovely Ozark hills lit up with stunning Christmas lights. During the holiday season, visitors can witness the Shepherd's Christmas Carol play, marvel at God's handiwork, and have a blast at North Pole Adventure, where the kids can meet Santa and participate in festive activities. This year, start some new traditions!
To experience the Christmas spirit for the season, be sure to book your tickets to A Christmas Story Dinner Show! Of course, you can enjoy some other awesome holiday endeavors in Branson, from Christmas lights rides to shopping at the Branson Landing.
