About Patsy Cline


One of the most celebrated female country music artists in history, Patsy Cline captivated audiences for years and years. Gaining popularity in 1962, her talent captured the attention of the entire nation when she got her break in 1957 after winning an Arthur Godfrey Talent competition. She appeared at the Grand Ole Opry in 1958 and received awards in the following years until her tragic death in 1963. She was honored after her death with an induction to the Country Music Hall of Fame and had a bell tower erected in her honor in Shenandoah Memorial Park where she is buried.
