Play at Geyser Gulch®
Geyser Gulch offers Silver Dollar City visitors an expansive water-themed play area for a splashing good time!
While Branson is absolutely full of exciting things to do, there are a few attractions that are far and away the most popular in the city. It's the same in nearly any town across the globe. You know what I'm talking about; theme parks! Ahh, roller coasters, cotton candy, performances, and miles and miles of walking! In reality, theme parks are the biggest attractions in America, and one of the most popular is found right in Branson, Missouri. Here are the three most popular theme parks in the Branson area!
Silver Dollar City
This is the mother of all theme parks in Branson. Step back into the 19th century and discover what living in the Ozarks was like during that time period. Enjoy over 20 rides and attractions, with exciting names like Buzzsaw Falls and PowderKeg. If you aren't one for roller coasters and that sort of mayhem, don't worry. Silver Dollar City owes a lot of its popularity to the artisans and crafters who operate here. Live demonstrations show you how to blow glass, sew a rag doll, or make jewelry. Shows are just as diverse. You could go to the Saloon and watch the hilarity that erupts, or stroll through pavilions and see acts from all over the world! If you are hungry, have no fear! There are over a dozen themed restaurants and kiosks inside the park waiting to serve you.
Celebration City
This offshoot of Silver Dollar City is the theme park's newest attraction. Celebration City puts you in mind of the county fairs you attended when you were young. A 90 foot ferris wheel, carousel, and other favorites make up the more than 30 thrill rides in the park. Enjoy hot dogs, pizza, and other theme park favorites in any of the several eateries located inside. But, if you want an insider tip, wait until dark before you go to the park. That's when the sky lights up with a laser lights show and the lights sparkle on the thrill rides.
White Water
While the two previous parts required plenty of walking to get from attraction to attraction, this park requires a little different maneuvering. Swimming, anyone? That's right, White Water is the largest water park in the Branson area and is a very popular summer getaway, both for locals and visitors. With 12 acres of water fun, no one will get bored while inside White Water. There are water slides, a lazy river, and tons of activities for the little guys. Parents can relax knowing that certified lifeguards are numerous and all of the rides are safe. Concession stands and gift shops can be found throughout the park.
This is just a taste of what Branson has to offer. Not one of these theme parks can be adequately described in one paragraph, they are just too full of things to do. Shopping, thrill rides, and exciting dining are just steps away when you enter any one of these Branson theme parks.
